My name is Julie Warner and I'm so thrilled to be a part of the Our
Daily Bread Design Team! I'm originally from Texas but now live in
NE Georgia. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we have
one grown daughter. We also have two parrots we call our "green
kids". The oldest bird has lived with us for 23 years and our
daughter grew up with him. I live about 10 miles from my sister
who also married her high school sweetheart and since we all went
to school together, we've known each other a very long time.
I've always been crafty and all my family had to do was give me art supplies and I was happy.
My great grandmother taught me to paint and while she preferred oil, my favorite has always
been water color. I first started stamping in high school art class. Back then, we carved our own
from linoleum blocks. The first cards I made with my daughter when she was little. We carved a
few images and cut felt and glued it to blocks for the other images. We had some very unique
Christmas cards that year! About 10 years ago, a friend introduced me to heat embossing and
that was the beginning of this journey.
I feel so honored and blessed to be here and have the chance to work with such amazing images
and wonderful, talented people. Thanks Kelley and Grace for asking me!
